THE SOUND OF LYREBIRD

Well, I choose this theme for my free topic, because the bird has my passion. I started my undergraduate studies in PUCV, in this university I was studding biology, with specialization in zoology (ornithology), who don’t know what is ornithology I can explain: is the study of the birds!!

This kind of animal I found so interesting and beautiful, his colors, feathers, sing. I very like to the birds.

A Lyrebird is Australian birds that live in forest. They are most notable superb ability to mimic natural and artificial sounds from their environment. Lyrebirds have unique plumes of neutral colored tail feathers.

This bird has the most complex and beautiful sound of the world, is so brilliant how can imitate the sounds, and for attract to the female reproduce the most complex sounds, can imitate about 20 species sound and sound as chain saw, camera, alarm.
Lyrebirds feed on insects, spiders, earthworms. Less commonly taken prey frogs and occasionally, seeds. They find food by scratching with their feet through the litter.
This bird had been listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN, because has very restricted habitat.

Now, a video of the amazing sound of lyrebird.

 Greetings!

ENGLISH IN THE UNIVERSITY

How we all know, the language is very important to communicate to others persons. The English language in forestry is very important, because we found forest around all the world and the professional of this area should we know about the treatments to follow in a Forest Breeding Programs, to harvester, to learn about other techniques of silviculture and taxonomy of plants, new technologies and GIS.

In the university all the recent scientist studies is wrote in English and for the entire undergraduate to be informed about the forestry world and another scientist subject is necessary read and understand in English.

For me, has been very useful; because all my teachers we incentive to read in English give us text in this language.

English is a tool who open doors to the work experience.

SURVIVAL TIPS: WOUNDED

Well, I found this video very interesting because is a tool that could help us to save our life in case that we receive a shoot or a knife injury.
We are living in a dangerous world, and for sure as Antumapu students of La Pintana, we are so vulnerable to pass for these types of risks.
Now I will expose how you can take care in those cases:
-          Don’t move, stay in the floor o quiet.
-          Don’t remove the bullet or the knife
-          If a person has injured, lie down and line up the head for the rest of his body and make sure that it doesn’t move
-           Breath, breath slow for don’t complicated your injuries
-          If another person doesn’t breathe, pinch his nose, cover his mouth whit yours hands and blow and take two second for a new blow
-          If with a person you hear a sound in from the chest and floating bleed, cover the cut one side tape and the another one must be opened and another slide the air for control bleeding
-          If a person has hurt and bleeding for chest, abdomens or pelvis, press one of the mayor arteries, like as femoral
-          Use tourniquet only as the last resource that could cause the death for muscles and nerves.

In USA, over 100.000 people are victims of bullets or knife injuries. For that reasons we can take measures to guarantee ours lives, because in a blink eye our destinies can change forever, affecting our self and our families.

 Protect yourselves!

CHANGING EDUCATION PARADIGMS

The content in this video is true in terms of reforms in education for two reasons:economics and culture. The first problem came out when parents decided how to educate their children with the concept of "national identity" and keeping pace with globalization. This conditiondivided people into two types: smart people (higher education studies) and non-smart people (no higher education studies).
The people of USA think that ADHD is an epidemic, but this is not true, since children are stimulated and distracted, all through their childhood, by videogames, computers, and television; Because of this, parents decide to medicate their kids (this is a big mistake). When the parents and teachers want to educate their kids, children reject being taught, they take no interest and their power of concentration decreases because of the boring way different contents are delivered. In fact, in Chile, teachers have implemented new teaching methods: interactive ways such as power points, groups of study, among others).
Schools keep kids from being creative. Every child is born an artist and this ability is lost when they start their school stage and grow up.
On the other hand, the government needs the competition of the workers to reach the development of a country, and it needs smart people who lead companies in the future. For this reasons, Ken talks about one education modeled according to the requirements of the nation.

FEFY

Hello everybody, this blog is dedicated to my everything, my sister.
This photograph is very funny, just look at our faces hahahahaa... we look alike!!
She is my little sister, her name is Fernanda but we call her Fefy or Fefina, and we are very close. She has become so special to me; at first I got so angry with my mom for her pregnancy, but now I am so happy!

I took this photographs with my cell phone in my home's backyard, last summer.

That day I brushed her hair... It is very difficult because she doesn't like it.
Then, we did a photograph session.

I love my sister, she is so intelligent, she likes dancing (she dances to every music style, it's very funny) and she is a pretentious girl, she likes to put on makeup and takes my stuff to cause a mess in my room.
We have a great  moments together and I'm sure we will keep on having them.

I see you soon,

 Greetings!
